Stopped in for lunch and tried out the fish tacos and chicken friend chicken. Was it the best I've ever had... no. But it was good. I took my parents. The place was quiet and felt like a small home like feeling. The waitress was very friendly and accommodating. The prices were very reasonable. I will be back because I saw the breakfast and it looks promising. Definitely a small comfortable place to just stop in.

We love going to the porch on the weekends for breakfast or lunch. It's something I always look forward to on Saturday and Sunday mornings! We order all kinds of different things on the menu. The food is always great and the service is amazing. Astrid is absolutely fantastic and always so kind! It's awesome to have it right around the corner. I wish there were more places like the porch!

I went with their Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs. It's a great combination with the right amount of food for me. The Chicken Fried Steak was mostly beef and not a lot of crust. That's a good sign.

First, I found this restaurant on a Google search because I woke up Saturday morning and was craving French Toast. I live in Forest Hill and your restaurant came up as the second choice on Google. I had already tried the first choice, which is less than 5 minutes from my house.....it was a poor decision. (They are horrible!!) Second, I am a foodie and will drive for some good food!! Babeeeeeeeee.....this place is worth the drive!! The entire atmosphere is so welcoming that I completely forgot that I was in Texas! (This state is racist). The smell of what is coming from the kitchen will take you to grandmamas house, down in the country.....truly a blessing!! Third, I had 3 people, besides the young man who served me, who went out of their way to speak to me and welcome me to their restaurant. Even other customers were speaking to me and that just made my day and this was before I even ordered food. Fourth, as a gay man, I look for restaurants that have "the vibe" when it comes to the community. Right away, I saw my community and they were smiling!! Now......you know I have to tell the rest of the community to come and support!! Fifth, and finally......let's talk about the food!!! I have 4 words that truly will sound better than most sex!! "Blueberry Muffin French Toast".........yes, this is where you clutch your pearls!!! I sat at home in shame and delight.....all at the same damn time! Total genius whoever put those items together! I am going back and I know my personal trainer is gonna have HUGE issues.....but hell, I pay him, not the other way around! I need to know if they serve grits....if not, ADD IT!! I will keep you posted on the wonder of this amazing place!! JB

One good thing, our food came out fast. My hubby's Chicken Fried Chicken was good & tasty. My Breakfast Sandwich wasn't what I expected. I took the meat off and just ate the French toast. The burgers and steak sandwiches looked amazing though.

I am from the PNW and I'm here visiting my family for my moms birthday and we decided to eat breakfast here. This place so cute and our server, I believe her name is Astrid, was delightful! She is so sweet and accommodating. The food is absolutely delicious and authentic. I got the Rancheros Verde con chorizo and papas. Definitely recommend 10/10

We went on a Saturday at around 10:30 am. This was our second attempt as last Saturday there was no parking. I live in the neighborhood and it's so strange to see how busy this place was. The inside appears to have been recently remodeled. The staff was friendly and we were seated pretty quickly. The inside was LOUD... I couldn't figure out why but it wasn't a place where you could really converse with the ppl at your table. The seating was awkward. The food was good...I will remember to ask that they not put the butter on the French toast for me. The home fries and eggs were delicious. Waitstaff was attentive and I'd like to give another try but maybe not on a Saturday. I'd like to see what the lunch taste like.
